The FIU swimming and diving team christened the newly renovated pool at Biscayne Bay Campus on Saturday, Jan. 24, when the Golden Panthers competed against Florida Gulf Coast University. FIU may have lost the meet, but freshman diver Namiko Shiabata, who has already qualified for the NCAA zone diving competition, won the one-meter diving meet.
The Golden Panthers hit the pool again Saturday, Jan. 31, against the University of Miami. The meet at BBC’s Bay Vista Aquatic Center starts at 11 a.m.
