Faculty honored as Kauffman Professors


Eleven FIU professors have been selected in 2009 to receive awards of up to $15,000 to foster entrepreneurial activities, research and courses within their disciplines.

Congratulations go out to the 11 FIU faculty members recently chosen as 2009 Kauffman Professors. The winners are:

David Bray, College of Arts and Sciences

Yong Cai, College of Arts and Sciences

Anuradha Godavarty, College of Engineering and Computing

Fatma Huffman, Stempel School of Public Health

Nathan Katz, College of Arts and Sciences

Lidia Kos, College of Arts and Sciences

Chenzhong Li, College of Engineering and Computing

Karen Paul, College of Business Administration

George Philippidis, College of Engineering and Computing

Chunlei Wang, College of Engineering and Computing

David Wernick, College of Business Administration

Under the provisions of the Kauffman Campuses gift from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to the Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center, 30 FIU full-time faculty (tenure earning, tenured or non-tenured) have been selected to receive awards of up to $15,000 to foster entrepreneurial activities, research and courses within their disciplines since 2004.
