In a nutshell: I consult students on how to live a healthy life, focusing on nutrition, sexual health and overall wellness. I also invent fun programs to address real life issues students’ deal with.

What do you enjoy most about your job? Interacting with students.

What do you think faculty/staff/students should know about your department? We have free massages Monday and Wednesday, free HIV testing Monday and Friday, free condoms, free tea and really friendly staff

Where is your favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot is the swinging chairs by the fountain (if that’s what you call themJ).  When you sit in one, you can imagine yourself on an island and feel the breeze.

If there’s one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU, what would it be? I wish everyone knew that FIU is an environment that helps you to grow personally, academically and professionally. …if you let it…get involved…meet people!

Your proudest accomplishment: hmmm today, my proudest accomplishment is …being on the cover of In-Focus magazine.

What do you do when you’re not working at FIU? When not at FIU, I constantly find new ways to improve myself. Reading, exercising, African dance and I absolutely love to travel. Or I may be on the beaches of the world….Join me!
