‘The Obama administration and the Americas’ panel discussion


FIU’s Latin American and Caribbean Center and The Center for Latin American Studies of the University of Miami will host a May 4 book presentation and panel discussion that will present strategic policy advice from Latin American, European and U.S. experts.

“The Obama Administration and the Americas” will feature guest speakers Abraham Lowenthal, professor of international relations and the Robert F. Erburu Professor of Ethics, Globalization and Development at the University of Southern California and a leading authority on Latin America; Marifeli Perez-Stable, FIU professor of global and socio-cultural studies; and Eduardo Gamarra, FIU professor of politics and international relations.

The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Books and Books in Coral Gables, is free and open to the public.
