100 percent placement for FIU’s China grads

In the midst of an economic downturn that’s left China’s college graduates scrambling to find jobs, all 155 recent graduates of FIU’s Hospitality Management program in Tianjin, China, were either hired or accepted into a master’s program. That’s a significant accomplishment considering that government statistics released earlier this year forecast that only 35 percent of the 6.1 million students who will graduate from college in China this year will have found a job.

FIU President Modesto A. Maidique was in China to preside over the ceremony, which attracted 14 press organizations, including CCTV.

Congratulations to FIU’s newest alumni!
