Board of Trustees makes major decisions at June 12 meeting

Before taking a summer hiatus, the FIU Board of Trustees met June 12 to announce major gifts, honor FIU President Modesto A. Maidique, approve tuition increases and fees, and approve the university’s budget for the coming year. And that was just a portion of the business conducted in a marathon meeting of the university’s 12-member governing board.
