Panther Square in the Wolfe University Center at Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) was transformed into a faraway retreat complete with food and dances and sounds of the Polynesia when BBC hosted its annual Freshman Luau on Aug. 27.

Aug 27 3More than 150 students, alumni, faculty/staff and administrators – including FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg; Rosa Jones, vice president for Student Affairs; former BBC Provost Raul Moncarz; and BBC Interim Vice Provost Steven Moll – joined the fun as the Islanders Revue from the Mai-Kai Restaurant & Lounge in Fort Lauderdale performed on stage.

President Rosenberg welcomed the incoming freshmen and returning students to the campus, giving “a shout” to FIU President Gregory Wolfe – “This is his campus,” Rosenberg said – and highlighting the beauty of BBC.
