Beautiful imagery from the Wertheim Conservatory & Greenhouse
Dr. Scott Zona is a curator in the Biological Sciences Department in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Sona’s professional background is both in botany (plant taxonomy, specializing in palms) and horticulture. He loves taking photographs and he agreed to share some of the beautiful imagery that he has captured inside FIU’s Wertheim Conservatory & Greenhouse.
Enjoy.

The pictures are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them. I made note to visit the Greenhouse very soon.
Raquel, your quote is perfect.
I enjoyed taking a short break this Friday afternoon and admiring your beautiful collection of photographs, Dr. Zona. I must revisit the Greenhouse soon. Thank you for sharing these images with all of us.
“Nobody sees a flower–really–it is so small it takes time–we haven’t time–and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.”
Georgia O’Keefe
What a gorgeous collection of images, and so useful because the notes provide the names and other points of information. A welcome web presence for the flowers of the Wertheim Conservatory, thank you!
