Continuing its commitment to the community’s future workforce, the Latin Builders Association (LBA) recently hosted two FIU students at the organization’s September luncheon. The occasion allowed the students, who are LBA scholarship recipients, to network with area executives and industry leaders.
Esau Alvarez and Mark Rodriguez, seniors in FIU’s construction management program and LBA Scholars, were afforded the valuable opportunity.
“Granting scholarships and getting to know FIU students who are working so hard to excel in the classroom in order to contribute to the success of our industry is extremely important to our association,” says Anthony Seijas, LBA president. “Bringing these students to the forefront of the building industry and granting them the opportunity to experience the LBA firsthand is an invaluable experience for us as well. We look forward to following their success and crossing paths in the near future.
“LBA, the largest Hispanic construction association in the country, will continue to host LBA scholarship recipients at future luncheons.
