CollegeFootballPerformance.com named FIU wide receiver T.Y. Hilton Kickoff Returner Performer of the Week on Sept. 14, two days after his 96-yard kickoff return against Alabama.
The 96-yard return is the third-longest in blue-and-gold history. Hilton has now scored on his first touch of the season for the second consecutive year.
The honor came two days after No. 4 Alabama pulled away for a 40-14 victory over FIU on Sept. 12.
