CNN’s Rick Sanchez: Live from the Pit at FIU


sanchez_rickMIAMI — Popular CNN news anchor and South Florida’s own Rick Sanchez is coming back home to do his afternoon show live from FIU’s Graham Center Pit on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to come by the Pit, located in the heart of the Graham Center, starting at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  Sanchez’s CNN Newsroom Live goes live at 3 p.m. and will include live audience participation, in addition to his usual online interactions. Sanchez may be reached through any of the following avenues before and during the show:

Sanchez is expected to interview FIU Athletic Director Pete Garcia and Men’s Basketball Coach Isiah Thomas, among others.  Sanchez is in South Florida promoting CNN’s Latino in America project, which highlights the contributions of Americans of Hispanic ancestry.
