Student lands unique Microsoft internship, helps launch Windows 7

Texting. E-mail. Twitter and Facebook. These communications and social media tools have fast become an integral part of every student’s academic and campus community activities.

Now Stefany Marcelino, a management information systems (MIS) major in FIU’s College of Business Administration, is using these same tools as part of a new 10-week internship program brought to the university by Microsoft Corporation and Campus Entertainment, the marketing partner of the National Association for Campus Activities.
