The Office of Education Abroad is on a mission to provide FIU students with an education that is truly worlds ahead.

Its goals are to promote education abroad and international educational exchange programs and to help create a community of students that can respond to the increasing international needs and obligations of the university.

Each year, approximately 500 Panthers participate in education abroad programs in more than 20 countries around the world, with FIU faculty leading more than 35 short-term programs on five continents.

The university’s education abroad programs are open to both FIU and non-FIU students.

Those interested in learning more may attend the Fall 2009 Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., in the GC Pit at Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
