Wolfsonian-FIU rolls out the welcome mats for Art Basel Miami Beach

The museum’s Dynamo Shop will unveil a collection of designer welcome mats on Dec. 1 in anticipation of the annual art fair Dec. 3-6.

Four words sum up early December in Miami: Art Basel Miami Beach.

With the world’s art aficionados zeroing in on the Magic City, The Wolfsonian-FIU will present a selection of original, limited-edition welcome mats created by designer Todd Oldham and contributing artists Megan Whitmarsh, Wayne White and Brock Shorno.

The 2’x 3’ mats will be on sale at The Dynamo Museum Shop starting on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and cost $250 each. All proceeds benefit The Wolfsonian-FIU.

The welcome mats – available in four distinct designs – are being presented in conjunction with “New Voices. New Works,” a series of site-specific installations curated by Oldham, and featuring Whitmarsh, White and Shorno, in celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach. (The exhibition opens on Dec. 1.)
