FIU police seek leads in student disappearance

danielsMIAMI – Florida International University police are redoubling their efforts to find FIU law student Tommy Damon Daniels, who was reported missing last month.

Daniels’ friends last saw him at a West Miami Dade County pizzeria on Nov. 2. They reported him missing on Nov. 11. Police later learned that Daniels had contact with Miami Beach police on Nov. 5, but at the time he was not in police databases as a missing person and no one has reported seeing him since.

FIU police are continuing to follow leads and are looking for Daniels in hospitals, shelters and other county facilities.

“During this holiday season, Tommy’s family could have no better gift than to be reunited with him,” said FIU Police Chief Bill King. “We encourage anyone with any information about him to please contact us.”

Daniels is a 6-foot-5-inch white male, weighs 230 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information on Daniels’ whereabouts should call FIU police at 305-348-2626 or 305-348-2633.
