Study Abroad internship: alternative energy markets in the Dominican Republic and Panama

The Global Energy Security Forum within FIU’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) is offering six-week internships in the Dominican Republic and Panama in late spring 2010. Students will contribute to a U.S. Department of Education-sponsored project researching the potential for small businesses in Florida to export alternative energy products and services in these host countries. Students will acquire global export business experience in the alternative energy industry, including local knowledge about how business is conducted in the host countries. Additionally, students will enhance their Spanish-speaking skills and learn about foreign cultures.
