Dipak Jain to explore spirituality and entrepreneurship in India

Dipak C. Jain of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University will speak on “Spirituality and Entrepreneurship: Indian Perspectives” on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at noon in the Graham Center East Ballroom at FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

India’s economy, one of the fastest-growing in the world, is a juxtaposition of a rich and ancient culture with free market, entrepreneurial policies. Jain, an expert in cross-cultural product diffusion, will explore the interactions between tradition and cutting-edge, high-tech development

Dipak C. Jain is the Sandy and Morton Goldman Professor in Entrepreneurial Studies and a professor of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1987. From 2001-2009, Jain served as dean of the Kellogg School.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is the second in a series on “spirituality and entrepreneurship” presented by the Program in the Study of Spirituality and the Asian Studies Program in FIU’s School of International and Public Affairs, in conjunction with the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center.
