Presidential forum to be held Jan. 26

You are invited to the President’s Open Forum
Tuesday, January 26, 2010 – 9:30 am
Graham Center Ballroom

Dear members of the university community,

Over the past several months, you have been instrumental in helping me launch an exciting new era for FIU. Thanks to your hard work and dedication we are well on our way to achieving our vision of becoming a leading student-centered urban public research university that is locally and globally engaged.

At this juncture, we have the perfect opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and discuss FIU’s future. So I would like to invite you to join me on Tuesday, Jan. 26 for our first university open forum.

During this forum we will discuss the latest university developments and initiatives, as well as how, working together, we can take FIU to the next level. Please bring your ideas and questions, which I will be glad to answer.

The forum will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Graham Center Ballroom at Modesto A. Maidique Campus and will be broadcast live to Biscayne Bay Campus (Wolfe University Center Ballrooms, Rooms 244-A & B) and the Pines Center (Room 108).

The forum will also be available via live webcast at http://www.fiu.edu/docs/web_cast.htm

For those of you who are viewing the President’s Open Forum on the webcast, you may submit your questions for the Question and Answer Session following the President’s presentation.  Questions can be sent directly to presmail@fiu.edu. Please include your name and department along with the question and make the subject line “President’s Open Forum.”

I encourage you to make time to attend and look forward to your participation in this important event.

Mark B. Rosenberg
President
