In a nutshell: I am responsible for increasing college recognition and student enrollment through the development and implementation of marketing, communications and recruiting strategies and plans, including advertising, public relations, publications and e-marketing.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Interacting with prospective students who then decide to come to FIU, seeing them here on campus throughout their program and then staying in touch with them after they graduate and move on to a successful career.
What do you think faculty/staff and students should know about your department?
That we have a great team of professionals always willing to help and to learn from others.
Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?
The Graham Center. It always has a great level of energy and reminds us why we’re here.
If there is one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU, what would it be?
How great a place this is! It’s amazing to see people’s reaction when they come to campus, even if they studied here and graduated five years ago.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, golf, tennis…. But when I really want to get away and relax, I pick up my guitar.
