Having a good time at the FIU Organic Farmers Market

The weekly FIU Organic Farmers Market – held every Wednesday at noon at Modesto A. Maidique Campus – has taken off like the beanstalk in Jack in the Beanstalk ever since its inception a little more than a year ago.

Sponsored by FIU’s Stempel Public Health Association and the Wellness Center, the market features fresh fruits and vegetables and is just one of many programs supporting the university’s sustainability efforts.

It has become such a successful gathering for the blue-and-gold family that Panther Doug Garland, a liberal arts student at the university, recently shot a video that captures the essence of the FIU Organic Farmers Market.
