“City Island,” starring Andy Garcia, now in theaters

Today marked the arrival in selected local movie theaters of City Island, the new movie starring and produced by Andy Garcia.

In the movie, the Academy Award-nominated FIU alumnus plays a lifelong resident of the tiny, tradition-steeped Bronx enclave of City Island, a family man who works as a corrections officer and dreams of becoming an actor.

City Island co-stars Julianna Margulies (TV’s The Good Wife), Emily Mortimer and Alan Arkin.
