Free Q. He didnt do it.
It's horrible that everyone is so blinded by the death that they don't see that Kendall was in the wrong along with numerous other football players. They ganged up on Mr. Wyche and it was merely self defense. EVERYONE on campus knows that. this isn't a murder case people. At the most he should get fleeing the scene of a crime. but not murder.
You can't stab an unarmed person and get away with it, mang.
Well if it was self-defense like some people are arguing, explain to me why he was carrying a knife on campus?. He was looking for trouble.
It seems in this case that both parties carry some of the blame. Perfect example of two wrongs don't make it right. Now two lives are ruined and for what? I hope everyone can learn from this tragedy that fist fights don't exist. Those days are over. Just walk away and spare your family and friends from having to attend your memorial service.
A lot of indeed are rooting for Kendall since he was a star of our football team, but you people are also ignoring the facts that those football players are bullies. You cant tell that it was right for Mr. Kendall and his buddies to go gang up on Mr. Wyche for any reason. Now someone said if Mr. Wyche was carrying a knife that means he was looking for trouble, that is totally nonsense. Just because because you carry a bible doesnt meant you are going to church. Newton said for every action there is an equal reaction, and that is what we need to see this as. If Mr Kendall did not attack Mr Wyche, he would not have gotten stab, as human being we fight to survive.
So I agree with the fellow that said that he flee the scene of a murder but I hope that none of you is judging Mr Wyche because he killed a "football star" of our team.
Thank You
Are some of you seriously condoning (allegedly) murdering someone who may or may not have provoked you? Because I don't think that's quite what Newton had in mind. Killing someone is an overreaction.
Blaming the victim here is not the solution, although I do think of these two kids as victims: one lost his life, the other resulted to violence for a number of reasons and now his life will never be the same. You should be ashamed for suggesting Kendall Berry had it coming. Show some respect and leave the speculation aside and the investigation to the professionals.
First of all, there is absolutely no excuse to kill anybody. Newton's law refers to a physics law, NOT human behavior, as humans have the mental reasoning capacity to REACT in a manner other than this. Second of all, carrying a deadly weapon on a university campus or any state institution is a felony. On another topic, a bible is NOT a DEADLY weapon, is a book of teachings to live a life devoted to GOD. All that we should feel for these two kids is pity for ruining each others lives. Anyhow justice must be made.
You kids just don't get it. You can't go speculating as to what exactly happened, and you can't blame the victims. Show your support by being there for the loved ones left to deal with the aftermath.
I am a mother and my son was convicted of second degree murder last year. He was sentenced to life, plus 30 years a week before his little sister graduated from high school. She is now a Freshman at FIU. I know first hand how tragedies like this affect more than just the victims and their loved ones. As much as I love/miss my son, I hurt for the young man's (that he killed) mother.
Regardless to what actually happened prior to Kendall losing his life, trust me, it wasn't worth the price he paid. Nor the price Quentin will eventually pay. Ironically, my son's name is Quentin. He is a year older than these two young men. Here I am again, crying for two more mothers and their sons. Lives lost. Let all of this be a lesson for each of you that was affected by it. If you disrespect someone, that can be recified. It can be forgiven/forgotten. A life taken, cannot be given back. The loss will never be filled. Although my son is alive, his life is over. Learn alternate ways to deal with your confilcts. I know it is easier said than done. In every situation you find yourself in, take a split second and decide what your life is worth. There will be times when it seems like you don't have a second to spare; but just know that every second spared is a life spared. My heart and prayers go out to both Kendall's and Quentin's families. May God's grace and mercy comfort and keep you.

Of course it was wrong for kendell and his teamates to bully him. But under no circumstances should he have stabbed him. If anything he could have fought with his hands. It's not like the football players walked up to mr.wyche with a knife. But he could have just defended himself with his hands. And i think it was very wrong for him to pull a knife out on him.
Please check your spelling and grammar prior to posting, this reads like a 5th grade paper and as a University student “Are you smarter than a 5th grader”.
We can’t judge what happened that night. We were not there so we don’t know the facts. Who started the fight? Who tried to flee? Was it a knife that was used? Where did the item that was used to stab with come from? Why were they fighting in the first place?
All we can do if offer our prayers to both families because in reality they both lost a loved one.
