Dade County Fair offering discounted ticket rates to FIU family

A community favorite, the fair has been a generous neighbor to FIU through the 59 years of its existence.

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition is partnering with the university to offer discounted rates to FIU students, employees, faculty, staff and alumni.

The 2010 fair runs March 25 to April 11. Thursday, April 8, has been designated FIU Day. Details will be publicized soon.

For the duration of the fair, admission for FIU students, employees, faculty, staff and alumni is $5 any day. A 22-ticket Coupon Ride Sheet can be purchased for $15 and a P*O*P Ride Card (for unlimited rides Monday through Friday, excluding weekends or school trips) for $18. Children 5 years of age and younger get in free. These discounts are only available if you purchase your tickets in advance online.

Nearly six decades old, the fair has always been a great neighbor to FIU, contributing scholarships, financial support for programs and facilities, and providing meeting and banquet space to FIU departments and organizations.
