A.J. Walking: 100 days to football

Pop quiz, what is the line of scrimmage?

Set your clocks, unpack your tailgate gear and get your tickets. Today we start counting down to the opening game of FIU Football 2010 – which promises to be an exciting season with five home games. The season kicks off Sept. 11 in FIU Stadium against Rutgers – a program, by the way, that FIU Coach Mario Cristobal helped rejuvenate as the tight ends and offensive line coach in 2001.

As we count down to kickoff, we decided to have a little fun and see how much the FIUcommunity knows about football. We gave a Flip Cam to our very own A.J. Meyer ’09, an FIU alumnus who works in Alumni Relations. For the next 100 days, A.J. will be walking around campus asking 100 football trivia questions. Fair warning – A.J. is a HUGE football fan (and he knows all the right answers).

We’ll post all 100 videos right here on news.FIU.edu.

Check back often. And before you laugh at the great sports who are taking part in A.J. Walking, we have just one question: Do you know what a T-Bone formation is?
