What do you enjoy most about your job?

 

Analyzing university data trends with a great group of people.

What do you think students and your fellow faculty/staff should know about your department?

We have a large amount of statistical data about FIU on our Web and intranet sites.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

The U.S. Century Bank Arena. During basketball and volleyball season, it’s the best place to take indoor sports photography and support our teams.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU?

As an FIU student, faculty or staff member you can get free or deeply discounted software, like Microsoft Office or Adobe Creative Suite products.

How are you “Worlds Ahead”?

I started working at FIU as a student assistant in the art museum. As part of a small crew, we worked together to create world-class exhibitions every year. I’ve been fortunate to work in team-oriented environments throughout my FIU career. That experience has instilled a strong sense of loyalty to FIU. It is my loyalty to our university that makes me want to ensure its success.

Family snapshot:

My parents and sister live in Trinidad, so I try to go back home at least once a year.

Word that best describes you: Motivated.

First paying job: Bank teller.

Favorite TV show: I have too many.

What is playing on your iPod?

 

“Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap.

Your proudest accomplishment:

Getting accepted into a few photography exhibits and winning a couple of photo contests.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?

Working on my car, playing volleyball and visiting different places, but most importantly photography and very recently videography.
