Looking for effective ways to re-energize? Don’t miss the June 23 STEPP event

How well we bounce back from challenges is greatly influenced by our human capacity for resiliency. At the university’s next STEPP event, FIU’s Kate Kominars will present Increasing Resilience: Essential Habits for Difficult Times.” Kominars is director of the Office of Employee Assistance at FIU and a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings.

The seminar will begin at noon Wednesday, June 23, in the Graham Center Ballrooms at Modesto A. Maidique Campus. This free event is designed to provide you with strategies and tools to increase your ability to cope and thrive in spite of difficult times. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away. The FIU Bookstore will also have recommended readings available for purchase with a 10 percent discount to faculty and staff.
