FIU women’s soccer: meet the newcomers

Women’s soccer freshmen starters Chelsea Leiva and Nicole DiPerna took time from their busy schedules Sept. 21 to reveal what their lives are like away from the field. Check out the videos below to get to know the duo a little better.

The team’s next home game is Friday, Sept. 24, when the Panthers (3-4) square off against conference rival University of Arkansas at Little Rock at 8 p.m. at the soccer field at Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

Students get in free with a current FIU ID and will earn Panther Points for their attendance (make sure to get your Panther ID card scanned at the Panther Points tent). The new program, presented by Brickell Motors, gives students a chance to win prizes by earning points attending FIU athletic events throughout the 2010-2011 year. Students with the most points (the top 100) at the end of the semester and year become eligible to win prizes such as 40″ 1080 HD TVs, Toshiba laptops, iPods, Flipcams and more.

Faculty, staff, alumni and children tickets are available for $3 each. Adults who are not faculty, staff or alumni can purchase tickets for $5 each.
