In a nutshell: I work leveraging the Web to help tell the FIU Business story. This includes developing Web applications, Web maintenance and producing web videos.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with a great team, operating on the cutting edge of technology and meeting many great people.

What do you think students and your fellow faculty/staff should know about your department?

We love what we do and are always looking for ways to communicate the FIU Business story more elegantly and efficiently.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

I’m feeling the PG5 Market Station right now because the novelty of the place inspires a sense of excitement from the patrons. This makes for a lively and fun place to have lunch.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU?

FIU is very serious about its commitment toward excellence in education and offering a student-centric environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

How is FIU “Worlds Ahead”?

We are innovative in terms of the services offered to our students and in how we develop and implement those services.

Family snapshot:

My father and brother in Miami and my sister in Chicago would be the core. Additionally, I have people all around the world.

Word that best describes you: Inquisitive.

First paying job: I was a technician at Omnitech Gencorp. This required diagnosing and replacing components of printed circuit boards for old laser printer fusers with an ohmmeter and soldiering iron.

Favorite TV show: No miro la televisión.

What is playing on your iPod?

Pharaoh Sanders, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Miriam Mekeba, Miles Davis, A Tribe Called Quest, Mariza, George Winston, Big Boi, Ravel, Thelonious Monk and many others.

Your proudest accomplishment:

Recognizing the infinite potential within all.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?

Reading, coding, photography, biking and studying Spanish.
