The Frost kicks off the school year with Student Day

The Frost Art Museum welcomed students to campus Sept. 1 with a big bash. Guests gathered on the Avenue of the Arts at Modesto A. Maidique Campus to enjoy food, live music, games, and performances by Roary and the Dazzlers.

Incoming freshmen explored the museum’s exhibition galleries as part of Target After Hours, one of the Frost Art Museum’s keystone community-outreach programs that gives visitors the chance to meet contemporary artists and engage with controversial art, live music, talks, films, dance and performance art.

Check out highlights from Student Day, sponsored by Target, FIU Student Government Association, FIU Career Services, FIU Alumni Association and FIU Athletics, in the video below.

Held at 8 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month, Target Wednesday After Hours events are free and open to the public.
