What do you enjoy most about your job?

Every day is different from the one before. I like interacting with the other departments on campus.

What do you think students and your fellow faculty/staff should know about your department?

Parking & Transportation offers free services to the FIU community. Our website allows students and faculty/staff to order their decals online and locate useful information. The Panther Safety Tram provides transportation throughout the campus from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. The Panther Movers provide transportation constantly from the Panther Garage to PC. The CATS Shuttle offers rides to the Engineering Campus free of charge as well.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

Well, if I told you, people would steal it. I would have to say the new PG5 Market Station is my new favorite location at MMC, in addition to FIU Stadium.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU?

Its employees are quite diverse and it is a great place where to work!

How is FIU “Worlds Ahead”?

The fact that we have a medical school, law school and business school conveniently located in South Florida sets us far ahead of many universities.

Family snapshot:

Both of my parents were born and raised in Guyana. We moved here when I was a baby. My immediate family includes my dad (he’s an electrical contractor), older sister (a physical therapist) and younger brother. My family is very large. My mom has 13 siblings and my dad has six. We are usually laughing at get-togethers and love to make fun of one another.

Word that best describes you: Unpredictable.

First paying job: I worked at a Ross.

Favorite TV show: I have so many, but my new favorite is Raising Hope.

What is playing on your iPod?

I have a diverse collection.

Your proudest accomplishment:

Finishing my bachelor’s in marketing.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?

I like to visit my family members that live in Broward; relax; spend time with friends; watch television; and try to exercise.
