In a nutshell: My job entails marketing and promoting all the retail and dining services on campus.

Number of years at FIU: Eight as a student and three-and-a-half as a full-time employee.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Generating revenue through our business partners and contributing it all back to FIU.

What do you think students and your fellow faculty/staff should know about your department?

Business Services is continuously enhancing and expanding its services to better serve the FIU community.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

The FIU football stadium is my favorite spot on campus because my freshman year was the inaugural year of our FIU football team and I love see how quickly we have grown to Division I. Watching games in the vibrant new stadium has created many exciting memories for me.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about FIU?

Our campus is beautiful.

How is FIU “Worlds Ahead”?

FIU has grown exponentially since its inauguration and we continue to build innovative strategies that keep us one step ahead of the top state universities.

Family snapshot:

I was raised in a Hispanic home with a Spanish dad and a Guatemalan mother. I also have an older brother that was born in New York like me.

First paying job: I was a hostess.

Favorite TV show: Chuck.

A mix of great songs!

Your proudest accomplishment:

Being a first-generation graduate.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?

I enjoy beach days and weekend getaways.
