Office of Governmental Relations seeking intern for Washington, D.C., office

Each semester, FIU’s Office of Governmental Relations offers a paid, 16-week internship in its Washington office. This hands-on opportunity provides leadership and professional development experiences for FIU college students and recent graduates.

A full-time position, the Washington internship offers unique opportunities to gain valuable work experience and a knowledge of Congress and the federal government. The position is ideal for people interested in a career in the public sector or politically related fields but is open to students of all majors. The environment in the Washington office isĀ fast-paced and intense, and interns will interact with elected officials, agency appointees and university executives.

The deadline to apply for the Spring 2011 semester is Friday, Nov. 19. To learn more about the internship, dates and qualifications needed to apply, click here.
