Tumblr, the microblogging platform, is the latest addition to FIU’s roster of social media networks. FIU.tumblr.com is a collection of news and multimedia generated by the news.FIU.edu team and users all across the web. It’s a place for Panthers to interact, share posts, texts, photos, quotes, links, music and videos.

News.FIU.edu joins the latest wave of publishers, including the New Yorker, NPR Fresh Air, Newsweek, Elle and the Today Show, in providing a different way of consuming and submitting media. Tumblr was launched almost four years ago. Today, there are more than four billion tumbleloggers.

As part of its mission, FIU continues to look for opportunities to expand online to help foster a sharp and connected university community.
