Tikkun (“Healing the World”), Henry Richardson’s glass sculpture on special loan to FIU, was installed outside the Frost Art Museum Tuesday morning, Jan. 18. The 5,000 lb. work of art, which is meant to evoke FIU’s Global Learning for Global Citizenship curriculum, was moved into place with the help of a crane, the artist, and a few skilled crane operators and technicians.
The Frost hosted a reception Jan. 19 for Richardson to celebrate the newest addition to campus, and the sculptor later held a lecture for students.
I actually drove behind the truck carrying this, and wondered what it was! Very beautiful addition!
