FIU Law Investor Advocacy Clinic to host community awareness and resource workshop


WHAT: The FIU Law Investor Advocacy Clinic will host a Community Awareness and Resource Workshop to help those who have suffered investment losses or have been victims of investment fraud.  FIU College of Law Dean R. Alexander Acosta and Professor Robert Savage will discuss this timely and important issue impacting our community.

WHO: The FIU College of Law Investor Advocacy Clinic provides no-cost representation to individuals who have suffered investment losses resulting from stockbroker or investment advisor misconduct.  Through the clinic, FIU College of Law students, guided by Savage, who has almost two decades of experience with investor issues, work with clients who live in South Florida, including those whose first language is not English.

WHEN AND WHERE: Tuesday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the FIU College of Law Large Courtroom at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus, 11200 SW 8th St., in West Miami-Dade.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.  Continental breakfast will be served and the event is free and open to the public.
