The Student Government Association at Biscayne Bay Campus hosted on Feb. 9 hip-hop artist and actor Common. The entertainer spoke on “The Effects of Hip-Hop on American Society” as part of the SGA-BBC Lecture Series.

I went and I love Common but I was VERY disappointed. The lecture had NOTHING to do with "The Effects of Hip-Hop on American Society". He gave a motivational speech on how to achieve "greatness" and towards the end it turned into a sermon as he read a passage from the bible.
I really feel like no one told him what he was there to talk about… sigh..
