Hip-hop artist Common to speak at BBC Feb. 9

The Student Government Association at Biscayne Bay Campus will host on Wednesday, Feb. 9, hip-hop artist and actor Common.

The entertainer will speak on “The Effects of Hip-Hop on American Society” in the WUC Ballroom at FIU’s north campus, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., as part of the SGA-BBC Lecture Series. Doors will open at 6 p.m. (Common will not be performing any songs at the event.)

Admission is free for FIU students, alumni and faculty/staff. General admission is $5 pre-sale, $10 at the door.

Tickets to the event may be picked up at the WUC Information Desk at BBC or the Student Government office at Modesto A. Maidique Campus in GC 211.
