Flutists Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway to teach master class March 23


Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway will visit the School of Music on Wednesday, March 23, as part of their International Flute Master Class Series. The legendary duo will offer a flute master class for FIU students, as well as students aged 12-16.

Sir Galway is regarded as both the supreme interpreter of the classical flute repertoire and a consummate entertainer whose appeal crosses all musical boundaries. His virtuosity on the flute is equaled only by his limitless ambitions and vision.

Through his extensive touring, more than 30 million albums sold and his frequent international television appearances, he has endeared himself to millions worldwide and is a tireless promoter of the arts.

Lady Jeanne Galway is one of the leading female flute soloists of the decade and an accomplished chamber musician, touring regularly with her trio, Zephyr.
