Campus: I work remotely from a home office in the Keys; my team is located at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

In a nutshell: I am responsible for ensuring that our news portal, BizNews.fiu.edu, is updated with three to five articles per week. I write/edit and help manage the execution of the college’s print publications: Executive Dean’s Annual Report, Business Networks, International Business World and School of Accounting Ledger.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with an exceptionally talented and dedicated group of internal and external resources.

What do you think faculty/staff and students should know about your department? What about FIU – how is the university “Worlds Ahead”?

Our department generates an enormous amount of high-quality and imaginative material that gets a positive message out to a number of constituencies and wins the college and FIU recognition for our efforts. I think the energy and commitment to excellence of the people at FIU is what defines the university.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

The College of Business Complex. It’s an exciting set of buildings architecturally and it’s where I get to connect with people when I am on campus.

First paying job: Assistant professor of art history and humanities and co-director of the Chapel Art Center at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Your proudest accomplishment:

As director of the Chapel Art Center, I helped organize a statewide art auction that raised $17,000 for the leukemia-stricken daughter of two uninsured New Hampshire artists.

What do you do when you are not working at FIU?

Read, cook, unwind at the local beach.
