In a nutshell: My primary role is the recruitment, selection, training and supervision of the FIU Orientation Peer Advisors. I also oversee general responsibilities for the various programs run out of our office.

Working with students!

What do you think faculty/staff and students should know about your department? What about FIU – how is the university “Worlds Ahead”?

Everyone should know that Orientation is the first stop for the students who have decided to attend FIU, so we do our best to make sure this is an all-around great experience. FIU is definitely Worlds Ahead in student demographics. I have learned a great deal from the students I’ve worked with since coming here for graduate school.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? Why?

The Graham Center…there’s always something going on.
