We know what Panthers will be watching on TV this fall: One of their own on one of the tube’s biggest hits.
Torch Award-winning College of Architecture + The Arts alumnus Danny Pino ’96 has been cast as a series regular on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The former Cold Case star was among five actors in line to replace SVU’s longtime male lead, Christopher Meloni.
Pino will join the show – now entering its 13th season – as a new detective on the beat alongside fellow newcomer Kelli Giddish.
That great to hear, I had his brother as a professor in schools of advance studies. I hope he does awesome on the show.
That’ll be cool 😀 I love watching Cold case reruns even now … so it’ll be good to catch him doing something new …
I can’t get over seeing him as a freshman around campus 🙂
Mazel Tov! I was a volunteer in the theatre dept., doing make-up and hair – I think for a Midsummer’s Night Dream. And I remember Danny and his talent. Alot of the actors/actresses had tremendous talent – but you need a little luck on your side too! I also graduated in ’96; and have been happy to watch his success and star rise.
With warm regards and much more success,
Kathy Robbins
