FIU to celebrate faculty/staff June 14 at MMC, June 21 at BBC

Turning the Impossible Into the Inevitable – FIU could not have achieved this over the past four decades without its dedicated faculty and staff.

To recognize the talents, skills, intellect, innovation and commitment of its family, FIU leadership is organizing special celebrations at both Modesto A. Maidique and Biscayne Bay campuses on Tuesday, June 14, and June 21.

The celebration at MMC is set for 2:30-5 p.m. at the U.S Century Bank Arena, while BBC’s will take place from 1-3:30 p.m. in the Wolfe University Center. Entertainment and prizes, food and beverages will be provided.

To facilitate all employees’ participation in this special event, unit supervisors should allow employees time off, while ensuring appropriate office coverage to maintain normal operations and meet the service needs of students and guests. Those employees who attend this event will not be required to use leave time as this is a university-sponsored function.
