Law students help those eligible for naturalization complete forms
WHAT: The Florida International University College of Law will be hosting a Citizenship Drive to help individuals who are eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship to complete their N-400 naturalization forms.
Under the supervision of Clinical Professor Juan Gomez, law students in the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic will conduct the one-day drive.
Those interested in attending must schedule an appointment by calling 305-348-7541 prior to the event. Once the appointment is confirmed, a checklist with the necessary documents will be sent to all attendees.
WHO: The Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic is a one-semester clinic offered during the fall, spring and summer. Students in this clinic intervene on behalf of immigrants of all nationalities in a variety of settings. In recent years, the clinic has expanded its advocacy to include international human rights work.
WHEN AND WHERE: Saturday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the FIU College of Law on FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus, 11200 SW 8th St. in Southwest Miami-Dade County. Appointments must be scheduled no later than July 22.
