FIU Theatre’s ‘Swimming in the Shallows’ opens Sept. 23

Another exciting season of FIU Theatre is about to debut at the Herbert & Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center at Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

Up first is Adam Bock’s Swimming in the Shallows, directed by associate professor Wayne E. Robinson Jr.

The unconventional and quirky exploration of the problems and anxieties that underlie modern relationships (be they man-woman, woman-woman…or even man-shark!)” will open at the WPAC on Friday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m.

The show runs through Oct. 2. Shows are set for 8 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

A special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the production is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m., with select member of the cast and crew.

Tickets are $10 for FIU students and alumni, $12 for FIU faculty/staff and $15 general admission. For more information, visit carta.fiu.edu/events.
