FIU hosts SBC Volleyball Championships Nov. 17-19

FIU’s Panthers will take part in the Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championships for the 12^th time since 1998 and host the tournament at the U.S Century Bank Arena at Modesto A. Maidique Campus Nov. 17-19.

FIU students get in for free to all FIU sporting events on campus with a valid FIU One Card. Single-day adult admission is $10, while three-day passes are $20. Youths 2-12 pay $7 or $15, for single-day and three-day passes. Photo courtesy of FIUSports.com.

With the regular season under wraps, FIU will open against Denver, which earned the tournament’s No. 5 seed, on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. The winner of that match will advance to Nov. 18’s semifinals at 7:30 p.m. to face the winner of a quarterfinal contest between No. 1 seed WKU and No. 8 seed Troy.

The championship match is slated for 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19.
