Alumna pioneers water treatment business

Lin Li (MIB ’11) had already been accepted for graduate work at Monash University in Australia when she heard about a partnership between FIU and Qingdao University, where she had earned two bachelor’s degrees.

Lin Li is among a large group of students from China who are in FIU’s innovative Dual Degree Program, which offers options for the international scholar.

“The United States is one of the world’s most important economic centers and Miami is a gateway city to the United States and South America,” she said. “The superior quality of U.S. education is well known as are the high ratings of FIU’s College of Business Administration. I knew studying at FIU would increase my horizons—and it did.”

Li is now hard at work in Miami, establishing a new company, Best Water Group USA, LLC.
