Entrepreneur-in-residence hosts coffee break

Got an idea for a business? Wondering what’s next for your career?

Bring your ideas to Coffee Break Miami, a new opportunity to brainstorm with a successful entrepreneur right here at FIU!

The monthly gatherings, hosted by FIU’s Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center and the International Business Honors Society, will kick off on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the College of Business Complex’ Lobby (adjacent to the Java City coffee shop). Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Boris Hirmas, will meet with students, community members and entrepreneurs, who want to share coffee, pitch business ideas and receive business, entrepreneurship and career advice.

There is no charge for the event and no RSVP required.  On-site attendees can sign up for free 15-to-30 minute sessions with Hirmas. In addition to his position at FIU’s Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center, Hirmas is chairman of Tres Mares S.A. (Santiago, Chile) an innovation-driven holding company with investments in the Americas.  He has founded and financed several successful global businesses.

FIU’s Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center hosts a series of programs to support the entrepreneurial community, both in South Florida and in Latin America, including the Entrepreneurship Workshop Series and the annual Americas Venture Capital Conference.
