The choice is yours: Vote for April’s Movie on the Lawn

The next screening in the Frost Art Museum series is scheduled for April 12

The Frost Art Museum will host another outdoor movie screening this spring, on Thursday, April 12, and the powers that be are once again letting you choose what we’re watching.

The Frost screened '2001: A Space Odyssey" in March. What will the museum feature for its April outdoor screening?

Earlier in March, the museum showed the Stanley Kubrick classic 2001: A Space Odyssey after sunset on the façade of its Yann Weymouth-designed building at Modesto A. Maidique Campus. For its next screening, our friends at the Frost want to see the lawn packed. They have partnered with the Student Government Association to make this even more of an event on campus, and they’ve narrowed the list of options to six movies that should appeal to all .

In the running are the other two top choices from the first round of voting (Super 8 and WALL-E), a seminal film noir, a Hitchcock classic, a recent blockbuster and a Michael J. Fox favorite.

Here are the options – you can vote here at FIU News through 5 p.m. on Friday, March 30.

The winning choice will be projected on the east side of the Frost building, right on Avenue of the Arts (facing the Blue Garage), on Thursday, April 12, at 8 p.m. Radiate FM will get the party started beginning at 6:30, so be sure to get there early and enjoy that preview time with friends and family. Admission is free.
