When a Panther met the POTUS

Paralympic swimmer Ileana Rodriguez ’08, M.Arch ’12 was working out in the Olympic Training Center gym in Colorado Springs, Colo., Aug. 9, when in walked President Barack Obama.

Rodriguez had just wrapped up her routine in preparation for the 2012 Paralympics in London Aug. 29-Sept. 9 when she met the president, who was touring the facility.

“It was a total surprise,” she said. “I was on my way out and there he was. We talked a little about swimming.”
