FIU offers free football tickets to South Florida kids

The FIU Community Partners Kids Club is once again inviting local kids to join the Panther family at select home football games this season.

“This year marks FIU’s 10th football season, and what better way to celebrate the milestone than by welcoming our local kids, FIU’s future athletes, to cheer on our student athletes,” said Mario Cristobal, head coach of FIU’s football team.

Community Partners Kids Club, also in its 10th year, provides eligible not-for-profit groups such as elementary schools, youth leagues, and Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces with complimentary tickets to select home games.

“As we tackle our most exciting football season yet, I’m glad that we can invite the kids in our community to experience FIU football,” said FIU Athletic Director Pete Garcia. “FIU is committed to engaging our community particularly by fostering a love for FIU sports.”

Interested groups and organizations should contact Liz BorrellAugustin, assistant athletic director for student athlete development and community relations, at 305-348-0154 or borrelll@fiu.edu for an admission form. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.
